Submit through Availity. The Georgia provider manual does not list a commercial paper claims box, so use the address on the member's ID card. Do not borrow an address from another Anthem state. Timely filing is set by your contract and Anthem's manual. Read the claims section of the current Georgia manual.
Private payer: behavioral health
Anthem's Georgia manual says behavioral health providers are contracted with Carelon Behavioral Health (manual). Anthem's Georgia behavioral health page describes a value-based collaboration program (Anthem Georgia behavioral health). Recredentialing runs every three years.
State law
Georgia's mental health parity law is O.C.G.A. 33-1-27. The Office of Commissioner of Insurance issued Directive 25-EX-3 on annual parity data filings.
Medicare and Medicaid
Anthem's Medicare Advantage and Georgia Medicaid plans are separate products with separate rules. Georgia Medicaid is not covered on this page.
