Terms of Service
Effective date: January 2, 2026.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by MCM South Medical Billing Service, LLC (“MCM South,” “we,” “us”). MCM South is a medical billing service for mental and behavioral health practices, founded in 2010. By using mcmsouth.com you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Information only
The articles, guides, code references, and tools on this site are general educational information about medical billing for mental and behavioral health practices. They are not legal, medical, clinical, tax, or financial advice. Billing and payer rules change, and they vary by payer and by state. Confirm anything that matters to your practice with the payer, your attorney, or your compliance officer.
3. No client relationship from using the site
Reading this site, requesting a quote, or scheduling a consultation does not create a billing services relationship. A relationship begins only when both parties sign a written services agreement.
4. Do not send patient information through the site
Do not put protected health information (PHI) in contact forms, quote requests, comments, or ordinary email. If your practice needs to share PHI with us, we will set up an appropriate secure method first. See our HIPAA & Compliance Statement for how we handle PHI as a business associate.
5. Responsibility is shared
Using this site does not make MCM South responsible for your practice’s compliance. Your practice, your electronic health record (EHR) or practice-management software, and each other vendor you use have their own duties. We do not control the security, features, or terms of other vendors’ software.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the site in a way that breaks the law or harms others;
- try to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers, or other users’ information;
- upload malicious code or interfere with how the site works;
- copy the site at scale, for example with automated scrapers, without our written permission; or
- submit false information in any form on the site.
7. Accuracy and changes
We work to keep content accurate, but we do not guarantee it is complete or current. We may change or remove content at any time without notice. Where a page cites a source, check the source and its date before you rely on it.
8. Credentials and claims
This site describes how we work. It does not claim any third-party certification, accreditation, or endorsement. No official HIPAA certification exists, and we do not claim one.
9. Third-party links and affiliate relationships
The site links to government, payer, and vendor websites that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or terms. A link is not an endorsement.
Affiliate disclosure: MCM South is an affiliate of SimplePractice. If you sign up through one of our SimplePractice links, we may receive compensation at no extra cost to you. Links to SimplePractice are marked as sponsored. No other company on this site is our partner.
10. Intellectual property

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
