Your claims. Your specialty. Zero guesswork.
Free Mental Health Billing Consultation
A free mental health billing consultation with MCM South is a no-obligation conversation about what is not working in your billing — denials, credentialing, a payer that will not pay — with a biller who works only mental and behavioral health. You bring the problem; we give you a plain-English read on it and an honest answer on whether we can help.
Mental & behavioral health billing only · Founded 2010 · Solo and group practices · Psychotherapists and psychiatrists
What Happens on the Call
Practice size, states, payers, and what is going wrong — denied or rejected claims, slow payments, credentialing that has stalled, or a switch from another biller.
What is likely causing it, what is normal for your payers, and what we would do about it — in plain English, for psychotherapists and psychiatrists alike, E/M and add-on codes included. See the CPT & E/M Code Guide for the codes we mean.
If MCM South is the right fit, we say how we would start — from insurance verification to full claims handling. If it is not, we say that too. No pressure either way.
What You Leave With — Even If You Don't Hire Us
A clearer picture of your own billing: which problems are payer behavior, which are process, and what to ask whoever does your billing next. If you are comparing billing services, start with how medical billing services get paid — it is the first question that separates a good fit from a bad one.
The free mental health billing consultation costs nothing because an informed practice owner is a better client — and a better judge of any billing service, including ours.

“I consulted for SimplePractice for seven years, working with the EHR team and the clearinghouse on ANSI-compliant claims. That hands-on experience is what MCM South is built on.” — Michael Williams, Founder

Free Mental Health Billing Consultation FAQ
How fast will someone respond to my consultation request?
We respond within one business day, by email. Requests sent on a weekend or holiday are answered the next business day. More general questions are answered on the FAQ page.
Is the free consultation a sales call?
No. It is a working conversation about your billing. You get a plain-English read on your situation and an honest answer on fit — including “you don’t need us.”
Do I need my numbers ready for a free mental health billing consultation?
Helpful but not required. A rough clinician count, the states where you render services, and your main payers are enough to make the conversation specific. Unfamiliar terms are defined in the Billing Terms Glossary.
Does MCM South work with psychiatrists as well as therapists?
Yes — both psychotherapists and psychiatrists, including the E/M and add-on psychotherapy codes psychiatrists bill for combined medication-management and therapy visits. See the CPT & E/M Code Guide for the full breakdown.
